Home school agreement

Agreement for the school

To help your child at school we will:

  •  Treat children fairly and encourage children to develop positive relationships and behaviour
  • Offer opportunities for families to be involved in the life of the school.
  • Deliver balanced and well planned lessons which meet the requirements of the National Curriculum.
  • Expect high standards of work and behaviour at all times
  • Ensure that every child is taught at an appropriate and challenging level
  • Strive to ensure the safety and  happiness of all children
  • Ensure that bullying and racist, sexist and other discriminating behaviour is not tolerated
  • Keep you informed about your child’s progress through two parent’s evenings a year and an annual written report
  • Contact you as soon as possible if we are concerned about your child’s work or behaviour
  • Encourage regular and punctual attendance and talk to you if we are concerned about this
  • Set, mark and value homework in keeping with the school’s policy
  • Keep parents informed about school matters and activities through regular letters home, the school website and texts.

Agreement for the families

To help my child at school I will:

 
  •  Ensure my child arrives at school by 8.45am and inform the school by 9am if my child is unwell
  • Send my child to school in school uniform which has been clearly labelled
  • Make sure the school always has an up to date emergency contact number
  • Ensure my child brings the correct equipment to school including P.E. kit
  • Ensure medical appointments and holiday are not taken in school time
  • Tell the school promptly of any problems which may affect my child’s learning or behaviour
  • Support the school to encourage good behaviour and a positive attitude to learning
  • Support my child with homework and other home learning opportunities
  • Attend Parent’s Evenings and discussions about my child’s progress at school

To help myself at school I will:

 
  • Let my light shine
  • Follow the SHINE rules
  • Make the right choices
  • Make the school a better place
  • Respect the teachers and all adults
  • Look after the school grounds and school property
  • Treat everyone fairly and respect them
  • Always try my hardest with my learning
  • Welcome and show respect to visitors
